Europa zachodnia i środkowa: Austria, Szwajcaria, RFN (Badenia), Czechosłowacja. Gatunek występuje w drewnie lipy (monofag); rozwój trwa trzy lata; licznie odwiedzany przez mrówki. Znany z bardzo nielicznych stanowisk. Partenogenetyczny.
