Taxon description
Gatunek rozmieszczony szeroko od północnej Afryki przez prawie całą Europę aż do południowych części Szwecji i Finlandii, na wschód sięga do Kaukazu i Syberii, notowany nadto z Wysp Kanaryjskich i Madery. Zasiedla nizinne obszary torfowiskowe i tereny bagienne. Najczęściej spotykany w napływkach popowodziowych, wśród nasadowych części roślin i mchów, pod butwiejącymi liśćmi krzewów i traw.
