Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1991:

Gatunek rozmieszczony w Europie Południowej i w części środkowej, w Azji Mniejszej, Mongolii, północnych Chinach i Korei. Tworzy kilka podgatunków; podgatunek nominotypowy obejmuje zasięgiem Azję Mniejszą i Europę z wyjątkiem Półwyspu Iberyjskiego, gdzie występuje A. tamaricis franzi (Král); Azję zasiedlają inne podgatunki. W Polsce chrząszcz notowany zarówno z południowej jak i północnej części kraju. Żeruje na wierzbach — Salix L., a na Podkarpaciu również na wrześni pobrzeżnej — Myricaria germanica (Cl.) Desv.
