Taxon description
Prószyński et Staręga 1971:
Gatunek palearktyczny. Żyje na drzewach liściastych, najczęściej na dębach.
Rozmieszczenie w Polsce wymaga dokładniejszych badań, gdyż omawiany gatunek przez długi czas mylono z pokrewnym Atea sturmi (Hahn).
