Taxon description
Gatunek europejsko-syberyjski, zasiedlający obszar od zachodnich wybrzeży Europy po Półwysep Koreański; w Fennoskandii docierający do koła podbiegunowego, a w Europie Południowej występujący lokalnie. W Polsce, choć nie znany jeszcze z wielu krain, występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze prócz wyższych gór. Roślina żywicielska dla larw nie jest jeszcze znana, natomiast postacie dojrzałe łowiono na kwitnących krzewach oraz na kwiatach świerzbnicy polnej — Knautia arvensis (L.) Coult. i czarcikęsu łąkowego – Succisa pratensis Mnch.
