Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 2000:
Gatunek zasiedlający głównie północną część Europy; znany z południowej Skandynawii, Finlandii, Karelii, Estonii, Łotwy i Danii; w Europie Środkowej przeważnie nie odróżniany od Olibrus flavicornis (Sturm), notowany dotychczas tylko z kilku prowincji w Niemczech oraz ze Słowacji, w Polsce stwierdzony trzykrotnie na jednym stanowisku. Żyje na kwiatach pępaw — Crepis L., zwłaszcza pępawy dachowej — C. tectorum L., rosnącej na piaszczystych polach, suchych łąkach i przydrożach.
