Burakowski et al. 2000:

Gatunek mało znany; aczkolwiek opisany z Austrii przed przeszło stu laty, dotychczas wykazywany tylko z tego kraju, z Tyrolu, Austrii Dolnej i ze Styrii. Ostatnio bez konkretnych danych podany z Karpat. Ogólnikowa wzmianka o występowaniu w Polsce jest niewiarygodna. Rozwój larwalny odbywa w gałązkach limby — Pinus cembra L., kosodrzewiny — Pinus mughus Scop. i sosny czarnej — Pinus nigra Arnold.
