Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1979:

Gatunek występujący w południowej części północnej Europy oraz w górach i na torfowiskach w środkowej Europie. Przez niektórych badaczy uważany za odmianę Stenus (Hemistenus) picipes Stephens, stąd rozmieszczenie nie jest dostatecznie poznane. Z Polski notowany tylko z nielicznych stanowisk w zachodniej części kraju, od przeszło 50 lat nie poławiany.
