Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1980:

Gatunek rozpowszechniony w Podobszarze Śródziemnomorskim i w pozostałej części Europy, w Fennoskandii sięgający do środkowych prowincji, notowany również z Kaukazu i Syberii. W Polsce prawdopodobnie występuje na całym obszarze, chociaż rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany. Zasiedla tereny nizinne i niższe położenia górskie, wzdłuż dolin rzecznych dociera do strefy subalpejskiej. Przeważnie znajdowany pojedynczo w suchych środowiskach na otwartych terenach i na skrajach lasu. Poławiany w detrytusie, wśród mchów, na polach i łąkach pod rozkładającymi się szczątkami roślinnymi, w dołach po wybranym piasku lub glinie, pod kamieniami i napływkami.
