Taxon description
Gatunek borealno-górski, rozpowszechniony głównie w Europie Północnej; notowany z Anglii, Fennoskandii, Karelii i Estonii, w Szwecji sięgający do najdalszych prowincji północnych, nadto znany z Danii, Niemiec i Austrii. W Polsce od niedawna znany z siedmiu krain. Występuje w lasach, ogrodach, na polach i łąkach oraz wśród zabudowań. Znajdowany pod gnijącymi liśćmi, grzybami i szczątkami roślinnymi, w ściółce leśnej i spróchniałym, wilgotnym drewnie, zleżałym sianie, na padlinie, ekskrementach koni i krów oraz na wyciekającym soku z pni drzew.
