Taxon description
[KFP 3604: Adalia bipunctata] Gatunek szeroko rozpowszechniony w Palearktyce, notowany także jako importowany do Ameryki Północnej. Jest jedną z najczęściej spotykanych biedronek, występującą w ciągu całego roku w różnych środowiskach, zarówno suchych, jak i wilgotnych. Przebywa na różnorakich roślinach, na których odżywia się mszycami wielu gatunków. Przezimowuje głównie pod odstającą korą drzew liściastych i iglastych oraz w pomieszczeniach mieszkalnych. Znaczne spadki temperatury zimą lepiej znoszą formy ubarwione czerwono niż formy czarne.
[KFP 3607: Adalia fasciatopunctata revelierii] Podgatunek notowany z południowo-wschodniej części Europy oraz z Syrii; według A. Horiona (1961) do Europy środkowej jest sporadycznie zawlekany, ale nigdzie nie zaaklimatyzował się na dłuższy okres. Podgatunek nominotypowy, wykazywany z Azji Mniejszej, Kaukazu, Azji i Syberii, występuje w wielu odmianach barwnych. W Polsce należy do rzadkości, notowano go tylko z dwu krain. Wymagania ekologiczne i bionomia nie są znane, a według R. Bielawskiego (1959) przypuszcza się, że A. fasciatopunctata revelierii Muls. jest mieszańcem między A. decempunctata (L.) a innym gatunkiem z tego rodzaju.
