Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1985:
Kontynentalny gatunek eurosyberyjski, rozprzestrzeniony w Europie od krajów śródziemnomorskich aż do południowych prowincji Fennoskandii. W Polsce prócz wyższych partii górskich występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze, nie jest jednak notowany jeszcze z kilku krain. Jako rośliny żywicielskie są podawane drzewa młodszych klas wiekowych, głównie dębu, rzadziej buka. Larwy żerują w korze i pod korą gałęzi, pni i pniaków. Postacie dojrzałe ukazują się w maju i przeżywają do lipca.
