Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1985:

Gatunek występujący w zachodniej i środkowej części Europy oraz lokalnie w Europie południowej, wykazywany też z Kaukazu i Azji Mniejszej. W Polsce znany tylko z południowej części kraju, przy czym z Panasówki na Roztoczu wykazany po raz pierwszy przez Sz. Tenenbauma (1913) na podstawie jakoby kilku okazów znalezionych 7 VIII i tylko w oparciu o tę wzmiankę notowany później z tego terenu przez K. Strawińskiego (1950, 1954), jednak wobec braku w zbiorze Sz. Tenenbauma okazów dowodowych dane o występowaniu omawianego gatunku na Roztoczu winny być potwierdzone nowymi materiałami. Zamieszkuje tereny nizinne i niższe położenia górskie. Bionomia słabo poznana. Larwy żyją w glebie i przepoczwarczają się na wiosnę. Postacie dojrzałe bywają poławiane od maja do lipca na skrajach lasu, przesiekach i polanach leśnych na trawach, kwitnących krzewach i roślinach zielnych.
