Taxon description
Gatunek opisany stosunkowo niedawno z Czechosłowacji, znany dotychczas z Polski, poza tym notowany z Berlina, Szwecji, Finlandii, Węgier, Austrii i Jugosławii. W Polsce znany z pojedynczych stanowisk tylko w pięciu krainach. Bionomia tego gatunku jest słabo poznana. Larwy notowano jako groźne szkodniki zbiorów zoologicznych, zwłaszcza kolekcji owadów. Postacie dojrzałe pojawiają się od kwietnia i przeżywają do czerwca, niekiedy w tym samym roku występuje druga generacja w październiku-listopadzie.
