Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Gatunek północno-palearktyczny, rozsiedlony w Europie północnej i środkowej, na wschód przez Syberię docierający do Mongolii, Chin i Japonii. W Polsce, choć nie znany jeszcze ze wszystkich krain, występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze oprócz wyższych partii górskich. Zamieszkuje głównie tereny nizinne i pagórkowate. Występuje od czerwca do września w ekskrementach bydła, koni i owiec.
