Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1990a:
Gatunek występujący w środkowej części Europy i Europie Południowej, Afryce Północnej, Azji Mniejszej, Iranie i na Kaukazie. W Polsce jest chrząszczem rzadko spotykanym, notowanym tylko z sześciu krain, przy czym większość danych o jego występowaniu opiera się na znaleziskach sprzed przeszło stu lat, dlatego też wymagają one potwierdzenia nowymi materiałami. Larwy żerują w nasionach różnych gatunków seradel — Ornithopus L. i komonicy błotnej — Lotus uliginosus Schk.
