Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986a:
Gatunek o rozmieszczeniu prawie kosmpolitycznym; wykazywany z Europy, Azji, Afryki, Ameryki Północnej i Grenlandii. W Europie rozsiedlony głównie w jej części północnej, przy czym przy posuwaniu się ze wschodu na zachód coraz rzadziej spotykany. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk w różnych częściach kraju. Występuje w ciągu całego roku, najczęściej jako synantrop w różnych pomieszczeniach gospodarczych — wśród gnijących i pleśniejących materiałów. Na wolnej przestrzeni znajdowany pod rozkładającymi się szczątkami roślinnymi, pod zmurszałą korą iw owocnikach hub i grzybów nadrzewnych.
