Taxon description

Heintze 1990:

Gatunek nierzadki, lecz spotykany pojedynczo w środowiskach łąkowych, na brzegach lasów i zarośli, przy torach, drogach, miedzach i na polanach leśnych. Motyle latają w dwu pokoleniach: pierwsze w V i VI, drugie od połowy VII do końca VIII. Gąsienice żerują od VI do IX na kilku gatunkach przytulii, przy czym młode gąsienice karmią się kwiatami. Gatunek zimuje w stadium poczwarek w oprzędach na ziemi. W hodowli wykluwają się bardzo nielicznie motyle 3 generacji w X.
