Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek szeroko rozpowszechniony w prawie całej Palearktyce; w Fennoskandii przekracza koło podbiegunowe. W Polsce stosunkowo rzadko wykazywany, brak jest udokumentowanych danych z wielu krain. Występuje przeważnie w gniazdach różnych ptaków, niekiedy spotykany na padlinie, martwych rybach na pobrzeżach wód, w ekskrementach i w owocnikach grzyba żółciaka siarkowego — Laetiporus sulphureus (Bull. ex Fr.) Murr.
