Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek rozmieszczony w środkowej i zachodniej Europie (z wyjątkiem Wysp Brytyjskich i Danii), notowany ponadto z południowych trzech prowincji Finlandii i jednej ze Szwecji. W Polsce chrząszcz nadzwyczaj rzadko spotykany. Znajdowany w gniazdach kawki, szpaka i puszczyka, zakładanych przez te ptaki na wysokich drzewach.
