Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1986b:

Gatunek szeroko rozsiedlony w całej Europie i w Afryce Północnej, notowany ponadto z Arabii, Indii i Chin. W Polsce rozpowszechniony od Bałtyku aż po Tatry. Poławiany na polach, łąkach, miedzach i pobrzeżach lasu. Zarówno postacie dojrzałe, jak i larwy, odżywiają się różnymi gatunkami mszyc żerującymi na krzewach, bylinach i roślinach zielnych. Zimuje pod zeschniętymi roślinami.
