Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1981:
Gatunek północnopalearktyczny, w Europie rozprzestrzeniony od najdalszych krańców północnych przez całą środkową część kontynentu aż do Francji, północnych Włoch, Bośni i Siedmiogrodu. Wykazywany również z Ameryki Północnej. W Polsce prócz wysokich gór występuje prawdopodobnie wszędzie, ale brak jeszcze danych o rozmieszczeniu w wielu krainach. Spotykany przeważnie pod korą drzew liściastych i iglastych (sosna, świerk, modrzew), zaatakowanych przez korniki i kózki.
