Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1976:
Gatunek obejmujący swym zasięgiem prawie całą Europę z wyjątkiem jej części południowych, notowany również z Syberii, Kaukazu i Zakaukazia. Występuje w jeziorach, stawach, starorzeczach, łachach rzecznych, kanałach, rowach melioracyjnych oraz w spokojnych miejscach w wodach wolno płynących.
