Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 2000:
Gatunek znany z południowej części Szwecji, Finlandii, Karelii i Danii oraz wszystkich krajów środkowoeuropejskich, gdzie częściej spotykany na terenach górzystych. W całym zasięgu swego areału dość rzadko znajdowany. W Polsce wykazany z ośmiu krain, ale prawdopodobnie występuje na całym obszarze z wyjątkiem wyższych partii górskich. Zasiedla głównie obszary leśne o charakterze naturalnym. Rozwój odbywa w martwym drewnie drzew liściastych, rzadziej świerka i jodły. Larwy drążą poprzeczne chodniki w drewnie znajdującym się w początkowej fazie rozkładu i odżywiają się płynnymi substancjami substratu, w którym bytują.
