Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1995:
Gatunek znany głównie z górzystych obszarów w zachodniej i środkowej części Europy. W Polsce notowany z zachodniej i południowej części kraju; wykazywany na ogół z nielicznych stanowisk w poszczególnych krainach, jedynie w Sudetach Zachodnich często spotykany. Występuje głównie na wilgotnych i chłodnych miejscach, zwłaszcza na mokrych łąkach oraz w zaroślach nad rzekami i potokami. Larwy żerują na korzeniach lepiężnika różowego — Petasites officinalis Moench; postacie dojrzałe spotykano poza tym na dzięgielu leśnym — Angelica silvestris L. oraz na barszczach — Heracleum L.
