Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1985:
Gatunek występujący głównie w środkowej części Europy, docierający na zachód do Belgii i Francji, a na południe do Jugosławii i Bułgarii; wykazywany poza tym z południowej części Skandynawii, Azji Mniejszej i Kaukazu. W Polsce jest to chrząszcz nadzwyczaj rzadko spotykany, wykazany dotychczas tylko z dwu krain południowych. Zasiedla tereny pagórkowate i podgórza. Jest notowany przeważnie z drzewostanów bukowych, gdzie jest poławiany w czerwcu i lipcu na runie leśnym i krzewach na pobrzeżach lasu.
