Taxon description
Gatunek ciepłolubny o niedostatecznie poznanym rozmieszczeniu; opisany z Francji przed przeszło 130 laty, następnie wykazywany z nielicznych stanowisk w południowej i zachodniej części Europy, na północ sięgający po Niemcy i kraje Beneluksu, notowany ponadto z Algierii i Syrii. Z Polski notowany ogólnikowo na podstawie jednego okazu złowionego czerpakiem na roślinie zielnej, wieczorniku damskim — Hesperis matronalis L. Z zastrzeżeniem co do prawidłowości oznaczenia, wykazany z jednego okazu złowionego w Ojcowskim Parku Narodowym (Pawłowski i inni 1994). Do czasu uzyskania konkretnych danych o występowaniu omawianego gatunku w naszym kraju, tymczasowo nie zaliczamy go do fauny Polski. Występuje w lasach łęgowych, na łąkach, w dolinach rzek i strumieni, na wrzosowiskach, tamach i miedzach. Rozwój odbywa w różnych gatunkach roślin z rodziny złożonych — Cruciferae. Imagines poławiano na tych samych roślinach, a zwłaszcza na kapustach — Brassica L. i pieprzycach — Lepidium L.
