Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1987:
Gatunek rozpowszechniony w południowej i środkowej części Europy oraz lokalnie w Europie Północnej, wykazywany ponadto z Algierii, Kaukazu i Armenii. W Polsce notowany z nielicznych stanowisk rozproszonych w różnych częściach kraju. Zasiedla tereny nizinne i niższe położenia górskie. Postacie dojrzałe ukazują się około połowy maja i bywają poławiane do lipca na kwiatach różnych roślin, zwłaszcza baldaszkowatych (Umbelliferae). Larwy żerują w szyi korzeniowej i w niższej części łodygi różnych bylin.
