Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 2000:

Gatunek mało znany, opisany przed stu laty z Władywostoku w Kraju Nadmorskim; szeroko rozprzestrzeniony od wybrzeży Pacyfiku przez obszary stepowe i lasostepowe południowej Syberii po południowe europejskie części Rosji, na zachód docierający do Węgier, Moraw, Słowacji i Polski, skąd wykazany z pięciu stanowisk. Pierwszy raz odkryty u nas w rezerwacie stepowym Skowronno na podstawie dwu okazów złowionych 26 V 1983 r. To wyspowe stanowisko jest najdalej wysunięte na północny zachód od zwartego zasięgu i oddalone o ponad 500 km. Bionomia słabo poznana. Na Węgrzech notowany głównie z terenów bagiennych; A. Kuśka zebrał w słowackich Wysokich Tatrach jednego samca tego gatunku w strefie kosodrzewiny, około 1500 m n.p.m., na ziołoroślach (Kubisz 1992b). Należy przypuszczać, że Oedemera (Oedemerina) laticollis Seidl. występuje szerzej w południowej części kraju, w tym również na obszarach górskich. Postacie dojrzałe poławiano od maja do sierpnia.
