Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 2000:
Gatunek opisany z okolicy Wiednia przed przeszło 120 laty, ale później traktowany tylko jako odmiana pospolitego w całej Europie i północnej Afryce gatunku Oulema melanopus (L.); takson ten w 1989 r. został rozbity na dwa gatunki bliźniacze, które są razem szeroko rozmieszczone w zachodniej Palearktyce, w Europie szeroko rozprzestrzenione od około 65° szer. geogr. do krajów śródziemnomorskich. Z Polski Oulema duftschmidi (L. Redt.) niedawno wykazany z 10 krain, ale występuje prawdopodobnie w całym kraju prócz wyższych partii górskich. Żyje na dzikich i uprawnych trawach.
