Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1985:
Rozprzestrzeniony w zachodniej i środkowej części Europy, docierając na południe do północnych Włoch, Jugosławii, Siedmiogrodu i Ukrainy. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk i niewielu krain. Występuje głównie na obszarach górzystych, począwszy od wysokości około 400 m n.p.m. do około 2500 m n.p.m. Z terenów nizinnych jest notowany z nielicznych rozproszonych stanowisk. Poławiano go od czerwca do sierpnia na polanach śródleśnych, pobrzeżach lasów i wód, przeważnie na kwitnących krzewach oraz na roślinności trawiastej i zielnej.
Kuśka 1995:
Burakowski i in. (1985) podali go błędnie z Żyrardowa, jest to Cantharis figurata Mann. Roubal (1910) podał go z Białowieży, jednak długotrwałe badania w Puszczy Białowieskiej tego nie potwierdziły. Z analizy stanowisk wynika, że jest to gatunek charakterystyczny dla buczyn i grądów pasa wyżyn i niższych gór. W Tatrach najwyższe stanowiska znajdują się na wys. do 1200 m npm.
Gatunek górski, środkowoeuropejski. Jego granica północna przebiega w Polsce w pasie wyżyn. Dahlgren (1968) wymienia go z Francji, Polski, Czech, Słowacji, Austrii, Szwajcarii, Włoch, Jugosławii, z Niemiec.
