Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1976:
Gatunek szeroko rozmieszczony od Wysp Brytyjskich, przez północną i środkową Europę aż do Zakaukazia i Syberii, notowany nadto z Ameryki Północnej. W Polsce występuje od północnej części kraju aż do Tatr, jednak dotychczas nie znany z Sudetów. Żyje głównie w drobnych zbiornikach wodnych zarówno na terenach otwartych jak i leśnych, również na torfowiskach.
