Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek rozmieszczony w środkowej i południowej Europie (z wyjątkiem Półwyspu Iberyjskiego), notowany również z południowej Szwecji i Anglii. W Polsce występuje na terenach nizinnych i w niższych położeniach górskich. Znajdowany przy podstawie pni i pieńków starych drzew, w zmurszałym drewnie, w gniazdach Lasius brunneus (Latr.), Lasius fuliginosus (Latr.) i Formica polyctena Foerster.
