Taxon description
Heintze 1990:
Pospolity ten motyl lata od V do VIII. Gąsienice żerują pojedynczo lub po kilka na drzewach owocowych i innych liściastych oraz na niektórych gatunkach krzewów. Oprzędy budują podobnie jak poprzedni gatunek (Apatele tridens), lecz w nieco jaśniejszym kolorze. Zimuje poczwarka.
