Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1981:

Gatunek rozmieszczony od Karelii, południowych rejonów Fennoskandii i Szkocji przez całą środkową część Europy aż do krajów śródziemnomorskich, notowany ponadto z Madery, Wysp Kanaryjskich, Azji Mniejszej, Kaukazu i Syberii. W Polsce znany z nielicznych rozproszonych stanowisk w różnych częściach kraju, przy czym wiele danych opiera się na znaleziskach sprzed przeszło stu lat, przez co wymagają one potwierdzenia nowymi materiałami. Zamieszkuje głównie tereny nizinne, rzadziej górzyste. Występuje w nawozie, kompoście, gnijących grzybach i pod rozkładającymi się szczątkami roślinnymi, często jako synantrop w oborach, stajniach, stodołach, szopach i stogach; znajdowany też w jaskiniach.
