Taxon description
Gatunek szeroko rozprzestrzeniony od krajów śródziemnomorskich przez całą środkową część Europy aż do Irlandii, południowych części Anglii i Fennoskandii oraz Karelskiej ASRR, a na wschód docierający przez Syberię aż do Władywostoku. W Polsce, choć nie znany jeszcze z wielu krain, występuje prawdopodobnie w całym kraju oprócz wysokich gór. Występuje najczęściej na terenach otwartych, polach, łąkach i pobrzeżach lasów. Poławiany w kompoście, nawozie, pod ekskrementami ssaków, gnijącymi materiałami roślinnymi i napływkami.
