Taxon description
Gatunek północnopalearktyczny, rozmieszczony w całej Europie, na wschód przez Syberię docierający do Japonii, notowany także z Ameryki Północnej. W Polsce występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze, choć nie znany jest jeszcze z wielu krain. Poławiany pod opadłym listowiem, ekskrementami, wśród mchów, w gnijących grzybach, spróchniałych pniach i pieńkach oraz przy soku wyciekającym z drzew.
