Taxon description
Gatunek wykazywany ze środkowej i północnej części Europy, w Fennoskandii docierający do koła podbiegunowego. W Polsce występuje prawdopodobnie w całym kraju, nie znany jest jednak jeszcze ze wszystkich krain. Zasiedla zarówno tereny nizinne, jak i górzyste, sięgając aż do górnej granicy lasu. Spotykany pod odstającą korą, opadłymi liśćmi, rozkładającymi się szczątkami roślinnymi, w grzybach, na padlinie, przy wyciekającym soku z drzew, rzadziej w gniazdach chomików i gawronów.
