Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1976:
Bardzo pospolity gatunek, szeroko rozpowszechniony w Europie, Syberii, środkowej Azji i zachodnich Chinach, notowany również z północnej Afryki. W Polsce występuje zarówno na nizinach jak i w górach, gdzie dochodzi do regla dolnego. Żyje najczęściej w wodach płynących, ale spotykany również w różnego typu dużych i małych zbiornikach wodnych.
