Europa, zawleczony do Australii.
Gatunek jednodomny i holocykliczny. Żyje na końcach pędów bylicy bożego drzewka — Artemisia abrotanum L. i maruny bezwonnej — Tripleurospermum inodorum (L.) Schultz-Bip.
