Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1979:
Gatunek o niedokładnie poznanym rozsiedleniu, notowany z nielicznych stanowisk w południowej, zachodniej i środkowej Europie oraz południowej Fennoskandii. W Polsce jest chrząszczem bardzo rzadko spotykanym, prócz Niziny Mazowieckiej od przeszło 60 lat nie poławiany. Znajdowany zwykle na zboczach kserotermicznych, niekiedy również pod napływkami oraz rozkładającymi się szczątkami roślinnymi na wilgotnych łąkach i polach.
