Taxon description
Dość pospolity gatunek palearktyczny, w Europie rozmieszczony od Hiszpanii północnej, Włoch, środkowej części Bułgarii po południową część północnej Europy, na wschód sięga do Syberii i Kaukazu. Żyje na glebach różnych typów, przeważnie bezpośrednio nad brzegami wszelakich wód, spotykany głównie na szlamistych miejscach odkrytych i nasłonecznionych, niekiedy pokrytych niską roślinnością.
