Taxon description
Gatunek rozpowszechniony niemal w całej Europie (nie znany z Półwyspu Bałkańskiego), w Fennoskandii docierający do skrajnych prowincji północnych; wykazywany nadto z Kaukazu. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk w siedmiu krainach. Zasiedla tereny nizinne i niższe położenia górskie. Występuje głównie na wilgotnych łąkach i pobrzeżach lasu — pod gnijącym sianem, świeżo ściętymi trawami, napływkami, wśród przeschniętych ekskrementów koni, krów i gołębi, w murszu i butwiejącym drewnie pieńków i starych drzew.
