Taxon description
Gatunek zamieszkujący zachodnią i środkową część Europy, docierający na północ do południowych obszarów Fennoskandii, a na wschód do Syberii i na Bliski Wschód; ponadto notowany z północnych Włoch i Bułgarii. W Polsce rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany na niżu i w części wyżynnej, częściej notowany z górzystych, południowych obszarów, ale nie znany jeszcze z Sudetów i Tatr. Zasiedla głównie tereny górzyste i podgórskie. Występuje w cienistych i wilgotnych miejscach w lasach liściastych, rowach, nad źródłami i strumieniami. Jako rośliny żywicielskie były w piśmiennictwie podawane: rukiew wodna — Nasturtium officinale R. Br., żywiec dziewięciolistny — Dentaria enneaphyllos L., żywiec gruczołowaty — D. glandulosa W.K., rzeżucha łąkowa — Cardamine pratensis L. i rzeżucha gorzka — C. amara L.
