Taxon description
Europa, Kazachstan, Zakaukazie.
Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny. Żeruje w dużych koloniach na gałązkach i ogonkach liściowych wierzby białej — Salix alba L., wierzby kruchej — Salix fragilis L. i wyjątkowo wierzby wiciowej — Salix viminalis L. Kolonie tej mszycy odwiedzane są zawsze przez mrówki z gatunku Lasius fuliginosus (Latr.).
