Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1974:
Gatunek o niedostatecznie znanym rozsiedleniu, podawany z południowej, zachodniej i środkowej części Europy. Rozmieszczenie w Polsce wymaga dokładniejszego badania, gdyż omawiany gatunek przez długi czas mylono z pokrewnym Chlaenius (Chlaeniellus) nitidulus (Schrank). Wymagania środowiskowe niezbyt dobrze zbadane.
