Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1981:
Gatunek o niedostatecznie poznanym rozsiedleniu, znany z nielicznych stanowisk w środkowej części Europy, na północ docierający do południowych części Anglii i Fennoskandii, na zachód do Francji, a na południe do północnych Włoch. W Polsce chrząszcz nadzwyczaj rzadki, znany dotychczas tylko z okolic Warszawy. Ogólnikowo wykazany z Pomorza i Prus Wschodnich, a nie z Mazur, jak podaje A. Szujecki (1963). Zasiedla tereny nizinne i górzyste do wysokości około 800 m n.p.m. Żyje w grzybach różnych gatunków, masowo występując w monetce szerokoblaszkowej — Oudemansiella platyphylla (Pers.) Fr. i w Pleurotus atrocoeruleus Fr.
