Taxon description
Wysokogórski gatunek w Karpatach i Alpach Wschodnich. W Polsce rozmieszczony głównie w Tatrach, z Beskidu Zachodniego przez licznych autorów wykazywany przeważnie z Babiej Góry, rzadziej z Baraniej Góry (1214 m n.p.m.), a tylko przez M. Nowickiego (1873) z Pilska (1557 m n.p.m.) i Romanki (1366 m n.p.m.). W Tatrach spotykany do wysokości przynajmniej 2200 m n.p.m., na Babiej Górze od 1400 m do szczytu (1725 m). Żyje głównie ponad górną granicą lasu, rzadziej na halach i wśród kosodrzewiny, znajdowany przeważnie pod kamieniami.
