Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1976:

Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w środkowej i południowo-wschodniej Europie oraz południowej Syberii do Zabajkala. W Polsce jest chrząszczem rzadko spotykanym, nie łowionym od roku 1943. Występuje w skąpo zarośniętych zbiornikach wodnych o dnie gliniasto-ilastym jak kałuże, stawy, starorzecza, rowy na łąkach.
