Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1987:
Szeroko rozprzestrzeniony gatunek północnopalearktyczny, rozmieszczony od północnych części Szkocji, Fennoskandii i Karelii przez całą środkową część kontynentu aż do Hiszpanii północnej, Włoch środkowych i Bałkanu północnego. W Fennoskandii wraz z roślinami żywicielskimi sięga daleko poza koło podbiegunowe. W Europie środkowej występuje głównie w lasach pierwotnych i w okolicach górskich. W Polsce notowany z nielicznych stanowisk w zachodniej i południowej części kraju. Występuje w owocnikach hub rosnących na bukach, brzozach, wierzbach i topolach. Poławiany głównie na porku brzozowym — Piptoporus betulinus (Bull. ex Fr.) P. Karst. oraz hubiaku pospolitym — Fomes fomentarius (L. ex Fr.) Kickx, na buku i brzozie.
